Approved Responsible Member Program

The ARM program is designed to allow RCC members become trained and approved to open, supervise and close the hall to allow various programs and events to be held in the hall.

ARM Program Terms:

  • All Board Members to complete the requirements to become an ARM
  • All ARM’s must be vetted and approved by the RCC Board of Directors
  • Two RCC Board members to sign off on each ARM approval
  • Main activity/event organizer must be an ARM, put forward a name of an approved ARM or allow the RCC Board to appoint an ARM for the activity or event to proceed.
  • ARM status can be revoked by the RCC board at any time.
  • The ARM Program document and ARM Application/Agreement form will be available for RCC Members to access in the hall and on the website
  • The ARM Program Guidelines and Checklist will be available for ARM’s to access in the hall 

ARM Requirements:

  • Must be sponsored by a Current RCC Board Member, RCC program Director or Activity/Event Organizer
  • Must be an RCC member in good standing
  • Must sign the RCC ARM Application/Agreement document
  • Must complete the RCC ARM program training and orientation
  • Must accept and follow the ARM Program guidelines and checklist
  • Must be accountable to and follow the direction of the RCC Board of Directors

Guidelines 

The ARM program follows the following Guidelines, and the ARM is responsible to follow these guidelines when leading an activity or event.

Opening/Closing the Hall

  • Keep any keys or access codes private
  • Ensure the hall and grounds are left in the same condition as it was found
  • Ensure the hall is locked and secure before leaving 

Participants:

  • Understand membership requirements and manage them properly
  • Ensure all Participants sign waiver forms if needed for the activity or event 

Health & Safety:

  • Keep the safety of the participants and public as the #1 priority
  • Learn and know the location of all health and safety equipment, including Fire Extinguishers, First Aid Kit, AED and emergency contact list

Reporting

  • Fully complete the ARM Program Checklist for each activity or event you act as the ARM for.
  • Add relevant notes to the checklist as needed
  • Leave all completed documents in the appropriate place in the maintenance room
  • Contact the appropriate board member in a timely manner to report any relevant issue regarding the event, hall or grounds.
