The Riverside Community Kitchen is a welcoming place where people come together to learn, create, and connect through food. Whether you’re an experienced home baker or trying something new for the first time, our classes are designed to be fun, hands-on, and accessible for all skill levels.
Throughout the year, we offer a variety of cooking and baking workshops, including our popular Sourdough Bread, Soup Making, and Cookie Baking classes. Participants learn practical kitchen skills, gain confidence preparing homemade food, and take home delicious creations to share with family and friends.
Our sourdough classes cover the basics of maintaining a starter, mixing dough, and baking artisan-style bread. Soup classes focus on creating wholesome, flavourful soups using fresh, seasonal ingredients, while our cookie workshops explore a variety of recipes and decorating techniques that are perfect for everyday treats or special occasions.
Beyond learning new recipes, the Community Kitchen is about building friendships, sharing knowledge, and strengthening our community. Cooking together provides an opportunity to connect with neighbours, exchange ideas, and enjoy the simple pleasure of preparing food together.
Classes are held in the fully equipped kitchen at Riverside Community Club. Space may be limited, so be sure to check our Events Calendar or contact us for upcoming class dates and registration information.
We invite you to join us, learn something new, and experience the joy of cooking together.
